My computer is retard slow

Seriously, my computer can't do more than 2 things at once and even then, it does them poorly. I was working on some images this evening and I need to shave, again, it took so long to do simple things. In fact, I started saving one image about 20 minutes ago and it is still saving. Lame. So, if one of my friends wants to get me a new G5 for christmas/birthday/kwanza, please, go for it.
